Urbanus was commissioned by Shenzhen Vanke Real Estate Co. Ltd. to integrate traditional Hakka tulou building with modern affordable housing from 2005 to 2008. The project experimented the possibilities to contextualize traditional dwelling modules with urban reality. With an aim to address the enhancement of living condition for the improvised, the insulative features of tulou succeeded in creating an intimate and comfortable environment within. This series consists of five sub-series arranged by work type.
