In 2010 and 2013, Indonesia saw major phreatic eruptions from the volcano Mount Merapi, leaving aftermaths across multiple local villages. But the greatest plight to the villagers was afflicted by the government's relocation policy, whereby farmers were forced to relocate to sites where they received very little land and compensation. To counter such policy, villagers began to rehabilitate their original village. ARKOMJOGJA kicked in to support these efforts of the local villagers at Yogyakarta and Borneo. Staff of ARKOM led villagers to map, analyse, plan, and implement the rehabilitation projects. This series contains digital photographs and the original physical drawings of these projects, including the village of Sidomulyo, Kricak, Ambarukmo, Papringan, Tegaldowo, Laham, and Metal Semanggi.
