The entrance to the room is at the back on the left, with paragraphs of English text are marked on the wall next to the entrance. Inside the room, from left to right, are a number of installations and objects on the floor, a pyramidal blue shape next to a stone-like stool, and towards the centre of the room is a wooden plank, next to a wooden pedestal with a stone and another wooden sculpture on it. At the back of the room is a life-size model of a pavilion, and other lighting objects and wooden sculptures are scattered across the room.

Noguchi for Danh Vo:
Counterpoint

Location: M+ Pavilion

Noguchi for Danh Vo: Counterpoint presents art and design works by the celebrated modern sculptor Isamu Noguchi (American, 1904–1988) in dialogue with work by Danh Vo (Danish, born Vietnam, 1975). For this exhibition, M+ collaborates closely with Vo—one of the most critically acclaimed artists internationally active today—and the Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum, New York, on the selection and installation of Noguchi’s wide-ranging work. This collaboration offers a new reading and, at the same time, defines a new relationship between the two artists.

Various sculptures sit in a gallery space with white walls. On the left are three pieces of work hung vertically on the wall. In the corner sits a circular sculpture and diagonally atop hangs another framed work. The sculpture on the right is large and made of sheets of metal. The sculpture on the bottom right is smaller and made of a narrow piece of stone sitting on a small metal plinth, which in turn sits on a larger, round wooden plinth.
