Young People Summer Takeover:
Insight
Beat the summer heat and invite your friends to come and join us for this thrilling summer festival designed for and by young people at M+! The Young People Summer Takeover, organised by the M+ Young Collective, focuses on topics and issues that are of interest to today’s young people, featuring a variety of museum experiences, including creative workshops, music performances, and screenings.
The theme of this year is ‘Insight’, inviting everyone to develop a deeper understanding of the world around us through various ways of observation. Life day in day out can make us become apathetic, limiting our vision and causing us to overlook problems without even realising it. Collaborating with interdisciplinary creatives, M+ Young Collective invites everyone to observe and discover the details that are often overlooked in our daily lives through various mediums, helping us regain the ability to self-reflect and strengthen our sensitivity and attention towards the people and things that surround us. By understanding the essence of things, we can apply this perspective to our daily lives to enrich our experience.
So join us at M+ this summer! All activities are free and open to young people ages 16 to 24, with some activities requiring pre-registration. After the event, participants can present their valid full-time student ID card to obtain a token and visit the galleries for free (excluding Special Exhibition).
Opening Party
Do not miss out on this great opportunity to meet like-minded young people who share an interest in art and culture! At this party, M+ Young Collective will unveil the activities planned and led by them, and share behind-the-scenes stories, while participants from the Creative Day Camp 2023 will introduce their works and share their experiences.
