Silent Museum
Silent Museum
As the adage goes: 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' Have you ever tried communicating with others around you without using verbal descriptions?
Silent Museum is an interactive performance created by a group of Deaf performers from the Dialogue in the Dark. Using non-verbal communication, the performers will share stories related to what you would see in the museum—stories which are shaped by your conversation with the performers and other visitors.
Together, we will discover and how our body can 'speak' with movements and gestures and how our eyes can 'listen' in place of our ears, as we all learn to celebrate differences with openness and empathy. Open up your senses, as this will be the moment for you to experience the museum in a new way.
This is a non-verbal performance. Cantonese and Hong Kong Sign Language will be available in the pre-performance introduction with projected subtitles in written Traditional Chinese and English.
