The Power of Art in Connecting People and Supporting Mental Well-being
How can art help us heal? Join us and learn about how to express feelings and build resilience through art.
As part of the programme ‘Shall We Talk at M+’ to broaden the conversation on mental health, M+ invites three speakers of learning programmes from the disciplines of music, expressive arts therapy, and clinical psychology. They will discuss the transformative power of art, using Yayoi Kusama’s works and life story as starting point, in supporting people’s mental well-being and the role of their professions in connecting people through art.
Kusama has faced many challenges in life and she has always confronted them by transforming her emotions into art. Inspired by Kusama’s attitude towards life, the guest speakers will share the positive impacts of art on individuals and society.
This talk, held in Cantonese, will be moderated by M+ Associate Curator of Learning and Interpretation Grace Ching. Simultaneous interpretation in English will be available. Click on ‘Register’ to sign up for this free event.
