L Community:
Call for ‘Idea Sculptors’! Family Session

Artists often surprise audiences with unexpected ideas. Can we also turn our sources of inspiration into works of art like an artist?

Artist Pak Sheung Chuen brings participants into a wonderland with his ‘Idea Cards’. Using these plastic cards with strange shapes and words, you will discover interesting details of our everyday life. Pak’s creation will stimulate your visual senses and open your imagination by asking you to integrate rational and emotional thinking to generate bold, new ideas.

Take inspiration from Pak’s work Idea Sculpture at M+ Community Pilot Project—L Community and become an ‘Idea Sculptor’, recognised by the artist himself! M+ welcomes all families to join us in this cross-generational exchange to unleash your creative potential!

This session is reserved for families with children ages seven to twelve. Children under the age of twelve must be accompanied by an adult. Each ticket includes admission for one child and two adults.

About the Artist

Pak Sheung Chuen obtained an undergraduate degree in fine arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since 2003, he has been a visual arts columnist for the weekend supplement of Ming Pao Daily News. Pak works across different mediums and draws inspiration from lived experiences to create playful works that explore hidden connections between people, events, and objects.
