Select your choice of household objects and create your own painting tools with your family!

Messy Play allows children to stimulate their senses and imaginations. In this workshop, participants are encouraged to use their personal experience to create colourful paintings that explore textures, lines, and shapes. With guidance from M+ Educators, families will learn to interpret visual culture with an open-ended approach and unearth how art can soothe our minds and bodies and effectively promote mutual understanding.

Participants may be in contact with poster paint which may adhere to their clothing during the event. The paint can be washed off with clean water. We recommend participants to wear loose clothing and bring an apron or protective clothing.

About Family Day

Family Day brings forward family-orientated events to M+ on Sundays during the second half of each month. We invite families to share their creativity through various types of activities that foster deeper connections among members and with other families as we come together to form a vibrant family collage on an open platform at M+.
