Become a part of a glowing infinity net, inspired by one of Yayoi Kusama's signature works. Invent structures through play, where your motions will be tracked and transformed into a light painting.

Yayoi Kusama’s creative outpouring often explores the themes of Accumulation and Infinity. Her canvas is like the universe—speckled with stardust and brushstrokes that freely gallop from corner to corner.

Inspired by Kusama’s paintings, this programme prompts children and families to paint an open space with light and shadow. Slip on your headlamps and illuminate the dark! Participants will venture into the unknown with M+ Educators and invent forms and structures using cubes and modules of different shapes and sizes under a long-exposure camera.

Complementing M+’s special exhibition Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now and a rendition of Family Day Drop-in: Imagination Playground, this workshop explores the core philosophy of life through the lens of Yayoi Kusama.

Family Day brings forward family-orientated events to M+ on Sundays during the second half of each month. We invite families to share their creativity through various types of activities that foster deeper connections among members and with other families as we come together to form a vibrant family collage on an open platform at M+.
