Cinema’s significance on the individual is explored in Ho Sin-tung’s personal yet fictional Inter-vivos Film Festival. Meaning ‘between the living’, Ho’s installation comprises meticulously hand-drawn film stills, movie poster and a cinema seat. These works challenge the mass-produced nature of promotional materials, and are the artist's homage to the enduring influence of the fictional and imaginary world of film on her. Above the chair is a small portrait of an unidentified figure with head bowed in a contemplative and introverted gesture, reinforcing the role of cinema in nurturing the imagination.
