Po Shun Leong Drawings 梁普信繪圖

Po Shun Leong, hailing from England, was introduced to woodworking during his formative years. He pursued sculpture and architecture in London before dedicating about 15 years to assisting with the construction of schools and infrastructure projects as a volunteer in Mexico. Following this, Leong transitioned to furniture design and relocated to southern California to be part of the studio craft movement. His focus shifted to the creation of large, compact boxes through building and sculpting. Po's pieces have been widely showcased and are part of notable collections like the Yale University Art Gallery, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Minnesota Museum of American Art, and the White House.

Po Shun Leong Drawings consists of 25 items including sketches, drawings and documentations on his five works: Chaise Lounge, a chair in 1971, Tall Box in 1989, Twin Peaks in 1990, Modern Times in 1994, and Landscape Box #42 in 2009. As for related materials in M+ Collection, three sculpture boxes can be found: 2018.1158, 2018.1159, 2018.1160.
