Lo Yuk Ying Photographs 盧玉瑩攝影作品
Lo Yuk Ying has been actively involved in the Hong Kong arts and film industry for several decades. She played a significant role as a founding member of the Phoenix Cine Club, which was established in 1973. Throughout her involvement with the club, Lo contributed her skills in designing various materials such as leaflets, posters, and other promotional items.
In the late 1970s, Lo also ventured into the realm of photography and provided her services to City Magazine, a local periodical. Her photographs were featured in several columns, capturing the essence of different subjects. Furthermore, she took on both business and editorial responsibilities for City Entertainment Magazine, a magazine that launched in 1979. During the 1980s, Lo worked as a feature photographer for Photographic Art Magazine.
Her talent behind the lens shone through in her portraits of actors, filmmakers, and crew members, which were showcased in the column on City Entertainment Magazine called “Celebrity Exposure”. These photographs were later compiled and published in a collection titled The Film Makers in 1986. Additionally, they were republished as part of the Hong Kong Photographers series in 2005.
