Drawings and document, competition submission for Sino Tower, Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong 香港灣仔港灣道信和大廈( Sino Tower)設計比賽參賽作品繪圖及文件
This series consists of 7 drawings and a note of the unbuilt Harbour Road project in Hong Kong. Located at the new reclamation area in Wan Chai, it was planned to be the tallest building in the city at that time.
The proposal includes a sunken area at the basement level, with also a series of bridge connections to promote pedestrian circulation. As an office tower, it also houses a hotel separately. The tower itself is divided into groups of floors, with the open floors serving as storage for mechanical equipment, retail, and social spaces.
Elevation drawings of the tower and floor plans of the hotel and office are included, as well as an architect's description.
A related architectural model (2020.494) can be found in the M+ Collection.
