The Standard Chartered Bank launched its operation in Hong Kong in 1859. Beginning in 1978 Henry Steiner designed five series of banknotes for Standard Chartered Bank including a special commemorative denomination to mark the bank’s 150th anniversary. This series includes research materials, notes and process materials related to the banknote designs from the 2000s.
