This series consists of stills, synopses, and other ephemera, showcasing that historical backgrounds and ready-made story lines of folktales are widely favoured. Some of the most classic movies in the series include The Eternal Beauty (1957) adapted from one of the Yuan Opera, "saving the chivalrous songstress" by Guan Han-qing, The Story of Lady Bik-to (1960) starring famed actor Sun Ma Si Tsang and actress Tang Bik Wan, also known as ''Versatile Opera Queen", The Eternal Beauty Chiu Fei-Yin (1965) featuring the story of Chiu's sisters. This series is arranged chronologically, according to the dates of release in Hong Kong.
