This series consists of stills, synopses, and other ephemera, bringing us more discoveries on this genre which played an important role in the entertainment industry of Southeast Asia. This series includes a few classic movies, such as Fairy Pearl (1963) starring actress Chan Chor Wai who is dubbed the "Prince Charming" of Chaozhou opera, The Twin Charms (1963) directed by the renowned filmmaker Chow Sze Luk, and Mermaid Story (1965) which is an unusual colour fantasy movie. This series is arranged chronologically, according to the dates of release in Hong Kong.
