This synagogue at Paterson, New Jersey, was built for the Congregation B'nai Jeshurun, which had existed in Paterson since 1847. The 1963 building was awarded best community structure built in New Jersey in 1963. In 1987 the congregation moved to a new synagogue at Franklin Lakes, New Jersey: the Barnert Memorial Temple, also designed by Percival Goodman. This project was numbered B09 by Wang Chiu-Hwa.
