Law enforcement asks her to use this treatment to access the mind of a serial killer who has fallen into a coma, hoping to coax the location of his latest victim out of him. Long-time music video and commercial director Tarsem Singh imbues his feature film debut with striking visual designs, drawing inspiration from artists like H.R. Giger and Damien Hirst. Free from the constraints of reality, his dream world is twisted, unhinged, and spellbinding. While the rest of Hollywood churns out sterile entertainment, Singh boldly disregards narrative conventions and pushes the confines of mainstream cinema.
