Now You See Love, Now You Don't
A screwball comedy from 1992, Now You See Love, Now You Don't offers light-hearted insight into city life versus small town living. Chow Yun-fat plays the leader of a small village in the New Territories, whose fiancée Firefly Kwok (Carol Cheng) returns from studying in England as a punk— the source of many quarrels. Their star power is complemented by stellar appearances from Teresa Mo, Anthony Wong, Carina Lau, and other supporting actors. Directed by Alex Law, the screenwriter of the romantic blockbuster An Autumn’s Tale (1987), the film is a down-to-earth and entertaining story about love and culture clashes.
