About the Programme

Featuring a compilation of four short films and works from the M+ Collection, Museum Playtime is a playful introduction to various creative disciplines, inviting families and young audiences to explore, play, and create together at M+.

In Muteum, Hong Kong–born animator Äggie Lee invites audiences to join a group of young museum visitors in a playful reverie as they frolic around (and within!) artworks on display. Koki Tanaka’s Everything is Everything explores creative ways to interact with everyday objects and reach new horizons through seemingly ordinary experiences. Zhang Xu Zhan’s Si So Mi Hsin Hsin Joss Paper Store Series Room 004 cheerfully conducts a musical celebration that examines life and death through traditional papercraft. Finally, Len Lye’s classic work Color Cry brings forth a strikingly colourful film that was created without the use of a camera.
