How to Build a Museum
How to Build a Museum
How do you build a museum? Start with a line, a page, and a little imagination.
Commissioned by M+, Vincent Broquaire’s animation series tells a story of the M+ building in ten instalments. Using imaginative storytelling that blends fact, fiction, and metaphor, the artist explores a different aspect of the building in each episode.
The series confidently guides us through a gonzo construction process of accordion staircases, inflatable towers, and moveable horizons. Broquaire's whimsical and witty flicks spark our sense of wonder and provide an alternative view on how our built environments foster a sense of identity and place.
