Walking with Dinosaurs

As palaeontologist Zack takes his nephew and niece on a fossil hunt in Alaska, a talking raven, Alex, morphs into its prehistoric ancestor, Alexornis, who shares the story of the Pachyrhinosaurus herd. Set in the late Cretaceous period, the narrative follows Patchi, who was born into a family of eight. Being the youngest and smallest in the family, Patchi was often bullied by his brother Scowler. As the herd migrates southwards for winter, Patchi and his family face dangers like forest fires and the carnivorous Gorgosaurus along the way.

Adapted from the BBC documentary series of the same name, Walking with Dinosaurs pairs filmed footage from Alaska and New Zealand with stunningly realistic CGI dinosaurs. While the simplistic yet heartwarming narrative may not appeal to more mature audiences, the film's technical achievements in animation are undoubtedly awe-inspiring.
