Overview
The M+ Library Special Collection addresses printed material as a key creative medium and alternative art practice in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The collection holds a variety of unique books and rare published materials, including artist books, comics, graphic design publications, magazines, and manuscripts. Some of the most treasured items in the collection include modernist magazines from the late 1910s to the 1960s, Chinese propaganda manuals, Manhua magazines and design volumes from the 1950s and 1960s, and experimental graphic design publications from the 1960s through to the present day.
