The film centers around Dino—by day, an indoor cat at the household of little girl Zoe and her detective mother Jeanne and by night, an agile companion to svelte burglar Nico as he saunters all over Paris on acrobatic jewelry heists. Pretty soon, their worlds meet at an unexpected turn as a valuable bracelet turns up at Zoe’s house and a mean gangster soon meets his comeuppance. A cinematic love letter to the stylish, jazzy cinema of the 1960s, A Cat in Paris references scenes from classic Hollywood films and reminds us that family is not defined by what has been lost but also what we find along the way.
